This Privacy Policy describes how ScrollPump ("we", "us", or "our") handles user information when you install and use the ScrollPump Chrome Extension (the "Extension") and visit our website.

1. Single Purpose & Core Functionality

ScrollPump is engineered with a single, transparent purpose: to allow users to detect viral video clips on supported social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, X / Twitter) and seamlessly launch and trade associated Solana meme tokens on the official Pump.fun protocol.

2. Non-Custodial & Zero Private Key Access

ScrollPump is strictly non-custodial:

  • Zero Key Storage: We never request, store, transmit, or have access to your wallet private keys, seed phrases, or passphrases.
  • Local Browser Signing: All transaction signing occurs locally within your installed Solana wallet extension (such as Phantom or Solflare) via standard browser window provider interfaces.
  • No Server Credentials: No financial credentials or passwords are ever captured or sent to external servers.

3. Chrome Extension Permissions Justification

In compliance with the Google Chrome Web Store Minimum Permissions Policy, ScrollPump requests only the permissions strictly necessary for its stated single purpose:

  • activeTab & tabs: Used solely to identify the active video permalink and detect video player elements on supported social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X) when the user interacts with the extension.
  • storage: Used to locally store user preferences, such as default slippage percentage, priority fee configuration, and preferred RPC endpoint on your local device.
  • scripting: Used to inject the non-invasive content detector and in-page launcher button onto supported video feeds.
  • host_permissions: Strictly limited to supported social video platforms and decentralized infrastructure (Solana RPC, IPFS pinning gateways, and Pumpportal endpoints).

4. Data Collection & Analytics

We do not sell user data. We do not track personal browsing history across unrelated websites.

  • No Personal Identifiable Information (PII): We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or physical addresses.
  • Local Processing: Video title extraction, thumbnail generation, and suggested ticker calculations occur client-side within the browser memory.
  • Public On-Chain Data: When you initiate a transaction on Solana, transaction signatures and mint addresses are broadcast to the public Solana blockchain as intended by decentralized protocol architecture.

5. Third-Party Services & Smart Contracts

To provide token launching functionality, the Extension interacts with:

  • Solana RPC Nodes: Used to query account balances and broadcast signed transactions.
  • IPFS Gateways (Pinata v3): Used to pin decentralized token metadata and images to the IPFS network.
  • Pump.fun Smart Contract: Verified on-chain program (6EF8rrecthR5Dkzon8Nwu78hRvfCKubJ14M5uBEwF6P) for automated bonding curves.

6. Data Retention and Security

Settings stored via chrome.storage.local remain on your local machine and can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing browser site data.
